Cardiff Marine Village launched
Comprehensive boating solutions for South Wales

Cardiff Marine Group celebrated the completion of their new marine business park, Cardiff Marine Village with a two day launch event. Councillor Neil McEvoy Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council officially opened the marine service centre. The event was attended by senior local authority members who had supported the development from the start, financial backers and representatives of the businesses who have made Cardiff Marine Village their new home.
Cardiff Marine Village offers the boating community of Cardiff and South Wales a comprehensive solution to all their boating needs. With companies including a sail makers, chandlery, composites engineer, brokerage, outboard engine specialist and boatyard servicing, repairs and maintenance the new retail and office space, workshops and showrooms on Penarth road have put Cardiff firmly on the map as a centre for boating excellence.
Councillor McEvoy agreed commenting "At present the number of boats in Cardiff Bay is increasing by about 25% per year which is coupled with a growing service expectation. Cardiff Marine Village provides Cardiff with something special and places the city amongst the very best boating centres in the country."
The official opening was followed by a public open day on Saturday. This was the first chance for the public to see the impressive facilities for themselves. It was a huge success with over 400 people coming to see the new businesses and enjoy the live band, refreshments and hog roast. This also proved a great opportunity for boat owners to see the brand new dry stack storage system available at the Village, which has proved very popular on the South Coast.
