Second call-out in 48 hours for Llandudno RNLI crew
Two exhausted crew rescued after running out of fuel

Yacht with two men on board run out of fuel off Great Orm and Crew of Sail Training Vessel rescued
The Llandudno all-weather RNLI lifeboat was launched on Tuesday 9th September 2008 to rescue two exhausted men, whose yacht was running out of fuel in near gale force conditions 17 miles off the Great Orme.
This was the second call-out in 48 hours for the volunteer RNLI crew at Llandudno, who saved 12 youngsters and five crew on a stricken sail training vessel on Sunday 7th September 2008.
The Llandudno RNLI lifeboat Andy Pearce launched at 11.35am on Tuesday, after the crew radioed for help. They had left Holyhead for Preston at 9pm on Monday 8th September 2008 and had battled rough seas in the Irish Sea shipping lanes for 16 hours.
The Llandudno RNLI lifeboat reached the 28ft yacht Sea Time just over an hour after launching. An RNLI volunteer was put on board, and following a slow tow to Conwy marina, the two men were put safely ashore.
