Keeping Your Crew in the Loop

Safety is paramount afloat, but until the disaster occurs most of us are interested in enjoying our boating leisure to the full. A device that  adds to our enjoyment when things are going right, and  helps us if things should ever go  wrong,  appeals to our heart and our head as one.

Deckband is a revolutionary concept in onboard communication and safety. Based on widely established Bluetooth technology, a hub positioned at the centre of the boat connects up to 4 crew members in constant, clear contact through light, easy-to-wear, high quality headsets, no matter what the wind, no matter what the noise, no matter where on the boat. Everyone can chat together, and extra audio inputs, from VHF to MP3, can be shared with the team. With Bluetooth, confidentiality is assured. Nearby pontoons, anchorage neighbours, close-quarter racing rivals are not in on your conversations.

And should anyone fall off, and out of range, Deckband immediately alerts everyone to the situation. With appropriate connections, relay of MOB data off the boat is made easy.

Priced at little more than a traditional Man Overboard alert, Deckband serves a wide range of leisure craft, from 7m to 20m, sail or power.
