Constructed around the historic basins of Penarth Dock, which first opened in 1865, Penarth Marina enjoys a prime setting within the sheltered waters of Cardiff Bay. It can be accessed at virtually all states of the tide through the Cardiff Bay Barrage and has become established as one of the major boating facilities in the area. Although the marina boasts its own high quality restaurants, both of which are housed in the attractively converted Custom House, Penarth town centre is only a 10-minute stroll away and has a selection of shops and eating places as well as a fully-equipped leisure complex.
