The most western harbour on the Isle of Wight, Yarmouth is not only a convenient passage stopover but has become a very desirable destination in its own right, with virtually all weather and tidal access, although strong N to NE'ly winds can produce a considerable swell. The HM launch patrols the harbour entrance and will direct visiting yachtsmen to a pontoon berth or pile. The pretty harbour and town offer plenty of fine restaurants and amenities. Walkashore pontoon moorings are available from the local boatyard, Harold Hayles Ltd, in the SW corner of the harbour. Pre booking is preferred for both individuals or rallies.
