Meandering through the New Forest, the Beaulieu River is considered by many to be one of the most attractive harbours on the mainland side of the Solent. A few miles upstream from the mouth of the river lies Buckler's Hard, an historic 18th century village where shipwrights skilfully constructed warships for Nelson's fleet. The marina, which offers deep water at all states of the tide (although note that the river's entrance bar can only be crossed approximately three and half hours either side of HW), is manned 24 hours a day. It's comprehensive facilities range from boat and rigging repairs to a fuel pump and chandlery.
